Sneak Peek: Headley Family!

I am surrounded by beautiful families, I tell ya! Cue the H family! At our shoot Mama H jokingly mentioned that I should have "blooper posts" with shots gone wrong. Funny she should mention, I'm going to have a lot of material from their shoot! And 95% of it is my fault, but its still pretty funny. Little H will be celebrating his first birthday in just a couple of months and is quite the little chatterbox, but absolutely adorable. I hope you like your sneak peek H family!

Monday

Sneak Peek: Not-so-little Luci!

I've known Luci's mom, Ashley, for a few years now and even did a mini-maternity session with her two years ago! Wow, two years ago...my how times flies! So I was super excited when she asked me to take some pictures of 17 month old Luci. This little girl is just downright gorgeous and has quite the spunky personality! Thanks Ashley and Luci for sharing your morning at the park with me. Here's a little (un-edited) taste!

Sunday

Sneek Peek: Bailey & Claire

I had the lovely pleasure of meeting up with Miss Bailey and Miss Claire this afternoon. I must say they are quite the photogenic young ladies! Here's a sneak peek of their session from this afternoon. I didn't have a chance to do any editing but I'll try my best to work on that this week! Thanks girls!

Future models in the making? I think so!

Out and About

Cool breeze, 80*, and sunny...now that's my kind of weather! It's been a long, wet, funky winter around here so I welcomed the change of pace by taking out the camera and heading out to the San Antonio Botanical Gardens. What a gorgeous day!

Taking a Leap of Faith

Welcome to CBK Studios. I’m not sure what lead you to my site but I’m glad you’re here all the same! My name is Kandis and I’ve loved taking pictures for as long as I can remember. But only in the last few years have a really begun to explore composition and techniques.
I love finding those quirky angles, wistful colors, and perfect balances of light and darkness. I love capturing the pure happiness in a child’s smile, the warmth of a mother’s glow, the joy in a bride’s eye as she musters out “I do”. I love it all.
So as 2009 came to a close and 2010 began with themes of renovation and new directions I decided to take a leap of faith and turn my favorite hobby into something more. And so you have it, the birth of Captured by Kandis. I hope you’ll check back often and when you do please leave a comment…I’d love to hear what you think!
